- black rose

I have been looking for some time for a pair of black rose stud earrings, not made from a light weight cheap plastic though, and just the right rose shape and size… I did find perfect red rose earrings, pity about the colour. I love the colour red, it attracts me, but I don’t like to wear it near my face. I have some lovely red earrings I bought a few months ago but I just don’t like the way they look on.
We were looking in an optometrists in the Brisbane Arcade (Queen Street Mall) and I spotted a display of colourful jewellery. We went up to the gallery level and discovered a great collection of resin jewellery in an antique store, including this black rose ring. It’s just perfect for me, I love it :)

Handcrafted jewellery from laurelhill
I really like these silver banner jewellery pieces. I don’t have words for the banner cuff, it would be difficult for me to pick one phrase I really wanted to have around my wrist. The Tiny Banner bracelet is so sweet! Definitely take a look at the rest of handcrafted silver jewellery from laurelhill, all of the pieces look beautiful… I just happen to really like banners :)

I definitely need this coat for next winter! I would also need to go somewhere cool enough to wear it…

Mini Punctum Earrings by Tirana Jewelery @ auto
These minimalist circular earrings are so sweet, I would wear them every day.
Tirana Jewelry offers limited edition and one-of-a-kind studio jewelry pieces made by NY based Mexican artist Graciela Fuentes. Fuentes believes in the urgency of implementing socially responsible and environmentally friendly practices. Her jewelry is made with post-consumer precious metals from local suppliers rather than with mined metals and it frequently incorporates vintage components.
IRK Earrings by Ronni Kappos @ auto
I have a great love of glass, especially when it is used in jewellery. These earrings are just beautiful, I would definitely taking a look at jeweller I. Ronni Kappos’ other work. I enjoy the bold colour and shapes of the pieces shown on her website, but I prefer the elegance of these.
Having studied art history, Ronni Kappos is influenced by modern art and architecture and sees putting beads together as a small engineering feat. All of her jewelry is made with vintage glass coming from the famed, but long defunct, German glassworks in the Sudentenland region of Bohemia. The molds and pigments used in prewar glass production are no longer available, making these beads highly collectible.

Mr Knitted Poppit from Deadly Ponies
Mr Wool Bag from Deadly Ponies
I had to share this Deadly Ponies bag, Mr Knitted Poppit, I found and absolutely love – definitely my next everyday bag :) But the Mr Wool Bag is a bit of knitted surpise that I think is pretty interesting too.

Peu Ideal Ankle Boots by Camper
I’m not normally a fan of Camper’s at all, but I love both of these. I’ve happened across the ankle boots twice in the past week and I don’t remember them having patent toes, but I think I was completely distracted by the buttons haha, I’ll probably buy them next week :)

the petal bag in mulberry by quejimenez
the simple bag in leaf by quejimenez
I bought a new everyday handbag a month or so ago, but I didn’t choose the right one for me. I miss my old saddle type over the shoulder bag – not that bag because it was falling apart & I was sick of it, but the style. It allowed me to have both hands free & didn’t restrict arm movement, I could get to my camera, notebook (and all of the other completely necessary stuff I carry around) quickly, and it was just easier to carry around every day.
So I’m being a handbag whore & looking for another new everyday bag :)
- silk thread
-
JiaStyle consists of two Parisian jewellers, who work together outside of their regular jobs to create some really beautiful contemporary jewellery. I think it’s lovely. Made to order from silk thread, sterling silver with a freshwater pearl.
I’m looking for a fragility in the jewelry through this piece . For me the fragility is something alive and really touching. Nevertheless, the silk thread which I chose is extremely solid, it is indeed not fragile at all.
Classically the pearl on a ring does not touch skin, but in this piece, I want that the pearl touches the skin. Because in the Chinese culture, we say that a pearl touches the skin will take the life, it will grow old with the person who carries it.
