• yellow kind of day
  • These images don’t work well together I know, but I just had to put them together here. The other day I had to go out for a job and on my way home all I could see was yellow things jumping out at me. Yellow signs, flowers, little butterflies, paper, houses… you get the drift, yellow was jumping up and down for my attention.

  • sorry i missed it…
  • Wimbledon mens final 2009

I wanted to stay up and watch this but I was so tired & knew getting up for work this morning would be too hard… How I wish now I’d at least watched some of this marathon match! It turned out to be the longest ever men’s singles final for games played.

I love to see Federer win, an excellent player, he is always a good sport whether he wins or loses and is always such a gentleman. This makes it his 15th Grand Slam win & puts him back at World No. 1 :)

the simple bag in leaf by quejimenez

I bought a new everyday handbag a month or so ago, but I didn’t choose the right one for me. I miss my old saddle type over the shoulder bag – not that bag because it was falling apart & I was sick of it, but the style. It allowed me to have both hands free & didn’t restrict arm movement, I could get to my camera, notebook (and all of the other completely necessary stuff I carry around) quickly, and it was just easier to carry around every day.

So I’m being a handbag whore & looking for another new everyday bag :)

  • giant baby
  • Big Baby in Paris, via Preik

I knew the picture John took of the giant doll/puppet in the street reminded me of something – I went through my bookmarks earlier & found this link I’ve been saving.

Apparently the baby lived on top of a petrol station for years before taking up residence in a Parisian design studio. Want :)

  • Fortitude Valley, Holga, Fujichrome Provia

Walking over Wickham Street from the train station into McWhirters. I like the view through these wonderfully 70’s triangle windows. Buildings on one side, sky on the other. While the recent renovations to the Valley train station was so overdue, I’m hoping they don’t try to ‘modernise’ this walkway, I like it the way it is. It’s a sunny little tunnel with beautiful light in fine weather & dingy and outdated looking on overcast days.
