I’m so excited to have come across the crankbunny etsy shop via Marisa Kakoulas @ Needles & Sins.

Pop Up Cards, Paper Puppets & Other Custom Novelties, sound perfect to me.

I love the designs and the illustration style, Victorian Tattooed Johnny and Victorian Tattooed Lady being my favourites, but take a look at those Christmas cards, and who wouldn’t love a pop-up card with a French Bulldog pushing up daisy’s with his nose or a Mermaid Fish Lady to put on the wall?

I’ve just been sitting here this lovely Thursday morning looking through the Rubbish Rainbows flickr set by Betty Jo Designs, arrangements of rubbish washed up on beaches and rivers.

I’m completely obsessed with colour at the moment – and it’s definitely showing in my work and you can see it in what I’m adding over at Pinterest… it’s a happy coincidence that most client’s have spring fever and aren’t adverse to a little lime green, I’ll have to wait and see how long that lasts though!

I’ve been so wrapped up in some of the books I’m reading on my trips to and from work that I completely forgot about keeping up to date with Martha Stewart Living on my iPad.

I sound like a paid cheerleader, but it truly is such a well designed digital magazine with beautiful styling that everytime I open and edition I want to work there… or at least spend my days doing something similar and not quite so commercial :)

I’m in such a creative mood this morning, I want to make and look at colourful objects, my head is bursting full of knitting and sewing pattern ideas. Wouldn’t it be perfect if you could bottle this feeling for when you had the time to take advantage of it?

Let’s hope that work cooperates with my wishes!

I need a little inspiration on this Thursday morning.

Just a little sprinkling of my pins over at pinterest that I am enjoying looking at this morning. It’s Saturday but I still got up at 5.30am to try to get some work in that I didn’t finish yesterday… It’s 6.30am now and I’ve drifted over to pinterest – I didn’t last long did I!?

I will be getting back to it shortly though, it’s an interesting poster project that deserves more time than the client (a Government body) was able to budget for it, so I’ll do it in my time and hopefully produce something spectacular… & effective!
