I have discovered my absolute dream wall decorations!

If you follow me on pinterest you’ll know that one of my largest walls is Decorated Walls – I’m finding almost daily decorations that I’d more than happily hang or attach on my walls, but this modular hanging system from ixxi seriously takes the cake, so many exciting possibilities.

What a remarkable video! An absolutely beautiful ink drawing by Miguel Endara, wonderfully captured on film – he should be so proud, this is fantastic work. I happen to love pointillism, so this is doubly sweet for me to watch the time, skill, and effort required to produce such a piece.

I know I’m probably terribly behind the times, but have you seen these?! Embroidered Penguin Classics!

As a graphic designer and a sometime embroiderer I really appreciate the skill behind Jillian Tamaki’s work on these. I love them, they’re beautiful.

These photographs are just too amazing. It’s not simply capturing the splash, they’re really beautiful photographs. I love the composition and staging.

The photographer Siebe Warmoeskerken has a making of video of these photos on his website, along with many other (even better!) photos from this series.

His photos strike such a chord with me that it makes me cringe when I think about the photos I’ve taken! Even though my photography is purely for enjoyment or to display something like my knitting in a hopefully attractive way , seeing beautiful photography fills me with a desire to be better.

This is good! When you begin to think you’re better than what you are at something is when your improvement or desire to be better and learn decreases.

These images make me feel the same sort of happiness as when I look through sites such as Things Organised Neatly, they satisfy the ocd in me :)
