now for the lining

I’m just really happy with how this satchel is coming together! It’s bright and fun and big enough to be useful. Once finished and lined with either the linen or hemp/cotton blend I have in mind it will be sturdy enough to carry heavy items such as text books or even a 13″ laptop or notebook (maybe even a 15″ but I’ll have to see how much it will open up after blocking) without damaging or distorting the crochet.

I’m really enjoying working with the Noro, repeatedly crocheting the same motif is pretty monotonous (I’ll have to force myself to get back to my other crocheted project) but the colour progression throughout the skein keeps it interesting.

My goal is to have the top half circles, base, and handles all finished today so that I can block it tonight – here’s hoping for a distraction free day!
