embroidered bread

How do you embroider bread?

Very very carefully apparently, and it will last for years.

I’ve had the urge to try embroidery, with visions of stitched wall hangings or little felt models, but the thought of bread has never crossed my mind… guess I’m not that creative ;)

ron mueck at goma

We went to the Ron Mueck exhibition at GoMA last weekend… it was amazing! I’d definitely like to take another look at all of the sculptures when there are less people there and take some better photos.

I love those old ladies! The last guy in the boat makes me feel a bit odd, I don’t know if I feel bad for him for being so exposed and uncomfortable looking or if he’s creepy…  I want to think more about how each piece made me feel and create some stories about them and then go back and really take my time.

I found it difficult not to touch, I’m very tactile and I so wanted to see what they felt like. Sense prevailed and I kept my hands to myself :)

i think of you

Soppy or sweet, I haven’t decided yet but I do think it’s a great photo of a lovely sentiment.

I can’t find the original creator of this but I found it via the photojojo tumbler.

cassette rainbow

I came across this print by chance so according to my new rainbow finds rules it had to be shared.

Cool Shit You Can Buy is a great site I’ve just spent way too much time looking through…

recovering lazyholic

Pretty much my first thoughts of the morning lately… as Autumn disappears into Winter and mornings get colder and darker all I want to do is stay in bed. I love being up early but the sun should be up too!

Love this series of photographs by Recovering Lazyholic (I love nonsense too :) ), found via swissmiss.
