flexible recipes

This cake made it onto my ‘to bake’ list when I first saw it on design*sponge. It looks delicious, fast and flexible – flexibility in a recipe for me is always good.

I’m pretty much incapable of following a recipe without modifying it somehow so baking something that can withstand my meddling without turning into a brick is a fantastic find :-)

Having said that, I do love reading complicated and structured recipes, macarons especially… they make it look so easy I’ve already convinced myself I could make them with no trouble.
