new purl soho

The location of the new Purl Soho is gorgeous! The old shop was very cute, I actually asked John to take a photo of it while he was in New York last year, but this building has so much potential. The fire escape makes it. In my dream we would live over the entire top floor with a private roof top garden to rival the best.

nearly alice time

Matt Lucas is going to be so fantastic to watch as Tweedledee & Tweedledum, just looking at this still showing that characteristic head tilt, that man is hilarious! According to what I’ve read, Tim Burton found some inspiration in the creepy twins from The Shining :)

I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie, visually it will be stunning, I hope the story is as impressive.

And just because I’ve mentioned it (even though the story is butchered from the original book it’s still a pretty awesome movie):

pretty yellow

I really do like the colour yellow, such a pity it looks so dreadful against my skin.

Another pity? The fact that Anthropologie will not ship to Australia… it’s such an irritation to find companies nowadays that will not shop outside of the US.

green chair upstairs

I really like the print, Rose Coloured Chair, the combination of pattern, colour, and the design of the chair really grabs me. It’s only the same as far as subject matter goes, but seeing this photograph makes me think of one I took earlier in the week.

It was a strange stormy day and I felt like taking photos of almost everything I saw. I pulled my camera out to take a photo of a sign I like and an old lady screamed obscenities at me for taking her photo – the camera was pointed nowhere near her direction! Maybe she secretly hoped I would take her portrait? But never mind, I got my photo quickly and left her alone to her grumbling.

circus wedding

I came across this photograph via Design*Sponge, I think it was a post about artistic people and mentioned the creative wedding of one couple. I took a look at the rest of the images, but it was just this one photo of the cake that got me interested.

What a perfect cake – a perfect wedding cake! It’s fun and elegant, not taking itself too seriously, just what a wedding would need I think. The most simple of photos that makes me want to run away and take photos of everything :)
