pink sugary army
It was the birthday of a boy from work, he’s the youngest person in the studio, something to mark the occasion was definitely necessary. I made vanilla buttermilk cupcakes, and my friend made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing and white chocolate shavings… oh they were good! They had dark chocolate chunks in them and the icing had some yoghurt in it so it was a beautifully creamy and not too sugary sweet.
I loved mine too though :) They were on the heavy side, very moist, and the buttery vanilla icing I warmed (with some added milk) & drizzled on so it soaked into the top a little. Also they looked so pretty! We arranged them on a cupcake tree and sat them waiting for him on his desk, & when he walked in the look on his face was just priceless.
Of course an afternoon of cupcake overdosing led to fantastic discussions across the studio like “What would your superhero power be if you had to choose it from Photoshop?”. Debates over whether it would be better to have the power of the liquify tool or the burn tool, or the benefits of having the superpower of saturation took up most of the afternoon. My choice was Apple-Z combined with the power of the history palette :)
