Rainbow House On Clipper St by PJ Taylor Photo

I wonder what this house is like on the inside, if the owners love of colour has extended to the interior design or if they have kept it clean to enhance the impact of the exterior… Definitely makes me think of the Rainbow Cake I spoke about last month, even the white trims = deliciously thick icing :)

Hanoi Rose by Happy Sleepy

While I’m thinking about roses, I wanted to share this photograph I found and favourited on flickr some time ago. Such beautiful colour, light and shape, the composition of this photo really appeals to me.

Surprisingly (I think anyway) for someone who has half an arm tattooed with roses, they are not my favourite flower – not by a long shot in fact. I simply enjoy the way they look, I like images and photographs of them, but as a flower to grow or to receive there are so many other flowers I would prefer. Having said that, Happy Sleepy says in the description of this photo that you can buy these roses for around 60c each… I would go crazy :)

Beautiful photo don’t you agree?

I have been looking for some time for a pair of black rose stud earrings, not made from a light weight cheap plastic though, and just the right rose shape and size… I did find perfect red rose earrings, pity about the colour. I love the colour red, it attracts me, but I don’t like to wear it near my face. I have some lovely red earrings I bought a few months ago but I just don’t like the way they look on.

We were looking in an optometrists in the Brisbane Arcade (Queen Street Mall) and I spotted a display of colourful jewellery. We went up to the gallery level and discovered a great collection of resin jewellery in an antique store, including this black rose ring. It’s just perfect for me, I love it :)

500 Coloured Pencils

What a fantastic idea! 25 coloured pencils over 20 months sent straight to your door. I wouldn’t be able to use any of them, a wall of colour would be a dream and I can imagine the feeling of finally completing it after the last lot is sent out. If $33 USD a month for 20 months is not too much of a long term commitment for you I think this would be the perfect Christmas gift for the colour lover in your life.
