There have been a few spangly or sparkly clothing and accessory items come through the photo studio where I’m working at the moment, without fail the Bedazzler will be mentioned. This infomercial frightening on so many levels.

This past week and a half I have spent a serious portion of each day thinking about biscuits, cake, and bread – I definitely have to bake this weekend, and the winner at the moment is biscuits. As for the type and flavour, it’s a three way tie between macadamia and white chocolate (one of the best flavour combinations ever), pumpkin and chocolate, and my current favourite oat and date… mmmm

Rainbow Cake

It’s no secret that I spend a lot of time reading recipes and scouring the web for beautiful or stylish food photography without really cooking or baking myself… One of my dream jobs is to design for a food magazine, online food related site, or designing cook books! That would be heaven. This was just one of my finds this morning, it would be so much fun to make this cake for someone, seeing their face as they cut into it!

One day I’m going to have the most fun baking everything I can think of, but in the time being I am quite content looking at other people’s creations :)
