- phone dropping nightmare

Yes… this is my nightmare at the moment, but with mine sinking to the depths of the Brisbane River instead of a sparkling clean pool with a visible bottom. I told John if he gets a call from me, crying, from an unfamiliar number in the next couple of weeks he wont have to guess why.
I love that the phone still works, but for how long? I work with a girl who dropped her old iPhone in the toilet & apparently it was fine for about half an hour until it started acting erratically, gave the error “This device is not compatible with the iPhone”, and died.

I’m really happy with the iPhone 3GS camera so far – the performance is really good for a phone camera. Then there’s the photography apps :)
I downloaded CameraBag this afternoon, it’s so fast & easy to use, plus the filters it uses aren’t completely over the top tacky like some I spotted… glowing edges make my eyes bleed.
There’s Helga (Holga type vignetting), 1974, Magazine, & 1962 are my particular favourites.

I’ve been collecting a list of original book cover designs that I really like, my favourite so far is Rabbit, Run.
With Slaughterhouse-Five a close second.
- i want to go to stockholm
I’ve really enjoyed looking through the photographs by Janine Vangool. There’s so many lovely pictures of Stockholm, and other parts of Sweden, I just really want to visit. Or at least start tracking down beautiful ceramics and filling the apartment with plants and flowers :)
- new toy :)
We went & picked up a new 3GS each this morning. No queues, crowds, or delays for phones because we swapped over to Vodafone & yesterday afternoon signed the contracts so they put the handsets aside for us :)
The only delay was porting my number from Telstra… once I managed to get my correct account number from them (instead of the one they pulled out of thin air yesterday) the process obviously sped up considerably.
Yay! New toy :) Now all I need is for Magnation to list Uppercase magazine as being available for subscription today – that would be the icing on the cake.

I’m liking Blanca Gómez’s photographs as much as her illustrations.
What’s with all the Cosas mínimas love you wonder? I’ve been looking through all of her work after I noticed she designed the cover of the first issue of UPPERCASE magazine, I’m very impatiently waiting for the Australian stockists to list it on their site… by the end of this week apparently :)
