vampire murder mystery

This picture just makes me think of vampire murder mysteries set in the regions surrounding New Orleans, or that movie with Cate Blanchett The Gift – I’m a sucker for books & movies with creepy supernatural themes :)

I’m reading the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mysteries at the moment (& watched The Gift again the other night) so that would explain the association.  I have to say I like the tv show True Blood more than the Sookie Stackhouse books (the show is based on the book), the books require no thought, an easy pleasure but at times they start to read like a romance novel written by an old lady… I know these things, I once attempted to read some of the romances an old flatmate would borrow from library in bags of 20 at a time.

    I’m pretty sure the flower is a spider lily, they are unusual looking but beautiful :)
